Metrum and the EPR project invites to EPR-seminar in Ankara, Turkey

On the 19th of October, Metrum and the Embassy of Sweden have invited companies and governmental organization in the Turkish energy sector to a seminar on Pattern Recognition and how to use this technology in optimizing the electrical grid.

The seminar will be held at The Green Park Hotel in Ankara, Turkey. The event is on the occasion of the joint Turkish, Swedish and Norwegian project European Pattern Recognition. A project funded by Turkish, Swedish, Norwegian national authorities such as TÜBITAK as part of the European Union Horizon 2020 programme and the ERA-NET Smart Grid plus initiative.

Dr. Peter Axelberg, the researcher behind the pattern recognition theories is visiting Ankara to talk about application of latest pattern recognition technologies from Sweden.

The seminar will be inaugurated by Ambassador of Sweden in Turkey H.E. Mr. Lars Wahlund and will be followed by a technical session with Dr. Peter Axelberg where discussions about knowledge sharing with experiences from the Swedish utilities in how to optimise electrical grids through power quality monitoring and third generation measurement systems using pattern recognition, covering topics such as:

  • How to reduce problems such as power cuts?
  • How you use data in the best way?
  • How does renewable energy production impact the overall operation and security of supply in the grid, and how can pattern recognition enable a higher share of renewables?
  • How can you optimize the operation of the grid?

Participants are invited from amongst others Enerjisa, SEDAS, TREDAS, EEDAS, as well as TEIAS, EMRA, TÜBITAK and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.
